About this place
Spinning vinyl on the basement 1 level of a Yotsuya building since its founding in 1967, Eagle Yotsuya is a long-standing jazz kissa. During daytime hours, conversation is kept down so patrons can listen quietly to the carefully curated tracks over a rich, immersive sound system. It offers the quiet sanctuary of a private hideaway for anyone wanting to read or absorb music solo.
The food menu is classic café fare, highlighted by lunch pasta sets that span Neapolitan, carbonara, and Japanese-style grated daikon with tuna. Each set includes a salad alongside hot coffee or seasonal iced coffee, letting you savor the springy noodles while letting the notes resonate. For an afternoon pause, pairing coffee with a dense cheesecake or gateau chocolat makes for an unhurried, comfortable break.
When the clock strikes 18:00, the lighting shifts and the room's character evolves into a convivial bar where guests can converse over drinks. Offerings include craft beer such as Afterdark, varied whiskies, wine by the glass, and happy hour combinations paired with snacks like mixed nuts or cheese and olives. From chili beans and quiche enjoyed with wine after work to late-night drinks accompanied by fine jazz, it remains an easy, atmospheric spot to pass the evening.
